Conditions of travels

On land:
All the trips are made in a comfortable 4WD type Toyota Land Cruiser: two back seats, 3 central seats and one seat next to the driver. Safety belt for the seven passengers and the drivers
Big roof rack on the ceiling for the luggage. Binoculars, nature maps and guides on board. A 4X4 can transport the guide, the driver and 6 persons in maximum.

On the river (Débo Lake):
Very confortable tourist canoe that can transport over n 12 passengers, with benches, table, shade, toilets on board with possibity of "African shower". The crew (in addition to the guide) is composed by: pilot, mechanic, chef and chef assistant.

Accommodation
Guaranteed accommodation in double rooms and tents for two people. Supplement for the use of a single room.

Meals
The city restaurants offer European kitchen and some African dishes. The bivouac and camping meals will allow to discover the African traditional kitchen, prepared in outdoors ovens, the multiple sauces that can accompany the rice (peanut, grass, onion…) and the different types of river fish.

For a change, instead rice you can have stewed of "ignames" or "couscous tchékeé" (mandioca semola). You should try the "tô" with "Gombo" sauce (a classic one), without forgetting the "aloccos", fried bananas. For desert you can have seasonal fruits: banana, orange, papaya, pineapple, "soussou",…

French breakfast includes hot drinks (nescafé, tea, milk…) bread, jam, honey,…

Note
The programm is adapted according to the day and time of arrival and departure. We will consult with you to modify the route so you can visit interesting places (for instance, big markets, ..)

Fees
Fees are calculated according to the occupation of the cars and only for groups of 4 or 5 people (in a 4WD) or 8, 9 or 10 peoples (in two 4WD). It is possible calculating the fee for 2 or 3 people.
If the group needs two 4WD the guide will be accompanied for one assistant and they will change vehicle in each stage. Communications between cars through walkie-talkies.

Included
Pick up at the airport and transfer to the hotel at your arrival and from the hotel to the airport on your departure. Accommodation in double rooms and two-places tents, breakfasts, meals and dinners,
Pinass, 4x4 Jeep (fuel for the 4x4 and the pinass during the way) touristic taxs, village’s taxs, visits, travel assurence, guide services.

It does not included
Mineral water or other additional drinks, safe, cancellations, food onthe first day (arrival to Bamako): depending on the time of arrival we can organize it (a supplement may be necessary).

Booking fees and payment
We charge a 10% booking fee when you are book.. 5% is not refundable, and the other 5% is refunded if the cancellation notice is given 15 days in advance. This booking covers telephone expenses, organizer’s booking fees, etc. 70% of the total will be paid when arriving to Bamako. The rest, 20%, will be paid on returning to Bamako

In case of cancellation by some group membert on arrival, the rest of the group will pay the part of the fixed expenses: X FCFA (about X Euros) and other supplements for use of single rooms. Otherwise, the organizer will be released of his commitment to the group and any previously payment will not be reimbursed.

It is interesting to know that
Bottled water is expensive in Mali (1000 FCFA - 1,5 euros). You can bring water-treatment tablets (we can suppy water of tape at anytime as needed)
