The climate of Mali has three stations that are distributed unevenly throughout the year (the rain season is longer towards the South).
The rain season, goes from June to September or October, reaching its peak in mid August with an average temperature of 25ºC.
The dry season goes from March to June. The maximum temperatures reached are 35ºC in Bamako and 32ºC in Tombuctou.
The cold and dry season goes from October-November to February, with an average temperature of 25ºC, reaching the minimum temperatures on December
The "harmatan” or Northeast desert wind, comes immediately after the rain season, contributing to increase the dryness of the atmosphere mainly on the early afternoon.
In Mali there are two climatic zones: the desert in the north, with very high temperatures, and the subtropical climate in the south, with average temperatures.
The best period of the year for the tourism, is of July to September in the rainy season or November in the cold season.
